How to play
Treblecross is played on a single row of squares, and both players use X. Take turns putting an X in any empty square. Whoever makes three X's in a row wins. Since you're both playing the same mark, putting an X right next to another one, or one square away from it, hands the other player the win. Most of the game is about finding somewhere safe to play.
There are no draws. A strip of six squares or more can't fill up without three in a row, so every game ends with somebody winning. The strip here can be anywhere from six to fourteen squares long, and the length decides who wins. The board this page opens on is 1×12, and on that one the second player wins.
